The global economy in crisis

Almost every day, the media reports that the global economy is in crisis. The climate and our society are also developing in a worrying way.

There is a very surprising and simple solution.

What would happen if, from tomorrow and forever, everything in the world became free? Absolutely everything, for everyone?

So imagine if all producers and retailers were to suddenly turn all goods and services into gifts.

Why might that be possible?

It wouldn’t work if the Earth and the Sun were to issue invoices for their mineral resources, their fruits, their air, their energy and their light.

But it is not they who issue the invoices, but the owners of the land from which the mineral resources are extracted and of the factories where the goods are produced.

But imagine if these bills were no longer necessary because everything is free. The owners would then no longer have to issue bills, because money would have lost its purpose.

Natural resources, fruits or energy could then be used by everyone free of charge.

If producers no longer had to pay for raw materials, they would of course still need to be exempt from the costs of their employees’ labour, wages, social security contributions and taxes.

Would wages, social security contributions and taxes even be necessary if all goods were free?

No, because everyone would be provided with everything necessary for a life of dignity, free of charge. This naturally includes business owners too.

This is, of course, very confusing at first, but just look at how it works within families. Mums and dads don’t demand wages either, which is why you don’t have to pay for food. The economy could function in a similar way.

What does all this have to do with today’s global crises?

There is no need for advertising for gifts. Everyone would then be free to take exactly what is needed for a life of dignity, without any external influence.

There would be no more competitive pressure, and products could be designed to be durable and fully recyclable.

Consequently, much less would need to be produced, far fewer resources would be consumed, and greenhouse gas emissions would fall so sharply that long-term climate targets would likely be achieved quickly.

Unemployment would no longer exist, so the economy could be automated without hindrance, meaning that heavy, monotonous and dangerous work in particular could be taken over by machines rather than underpaid workers.

Our responsibility would then no longer end with the purchase; instead, we would also feel personally responsible for sustainable production and for protecting the Earth.

But, but, but, but …….

Imagine the joy if we no longer needed money.

There would be no reason for looting or existential fears, because we would know that we would continue to have everything we need in the future. In fact, everyday life would carry on quite normally, just as it does today, even though we are warned daily by the media of the danger of collapse.

Why shouldn’t we carry on working, just because everything is given to us and we are no longer forced to work?

Because no technical changes would be necessary, the economy could continue to function quite normally during the transition. So we wouldn’t even notice straight away that anything had changed. However, due to the changed conditions, the economy would no longer have to grow artificially and would become sustainable of its own accord.

Entrepreneurs would no longer be at the mercy of competition but could serve people, as it should actually be.

Power would be replaced by setting an example and civic engagement.

A market that can only decide on the basis of what is economically viable, rather than what people actually need, would thus become redundant. Because there would be no prices once the transition is complete, we could move to a system of direct supply, in which people order what they need directly from the producer.

The conditions for this have been in place for several years thanks to global connectivity. Given the market’s competition-driven overproduction, direct supply would be far more efficient anyway.

And now ….. ?

Please help spread the word about this idea. Once everyone understands how simple it would be, implementation would be quick and straightforward.

La economía mundial en crisis

Casi a diario, los medios de comunicación informan de que la economía mundial está en crisis. El clima y nuestra sociedad también están evolucionando de manera preocupante.

Existe una solución muy sorprendente y sencilla.

¿Qué pasaría si, a partir de mañana y para siempre, todo en el mundo fuera gratis? ¿Realmente todo y para todas las personas?

Imagínese, pues, que todos los productores y comerciantes convirtieran de repente todos los bienes y servicios en regalos.

¿Por qué podría ser eso posible?

No funcionaría si la Tierra y el Sol emitieran facturas por sus recursos naturales, sus frutos, su aire, su energía y su luz.

Pero no son ellos quienes emiten las facturas, sino los propietarios del terreno en el que se extraen los recursos naturales y de las fábricas en las que se producen los bienes.

Pero imagínese por un momento que estas facturas ya no fueran necesarias porque todo es gratis. Los propietarios ya no tendrían que emitir facturas, porque con los ingresos ya no podrían comprar nada.

Los recursos naturales, los frutos o la energía podrían entonces ser utilizados por todas las personas de manera gratuita.

Si los productores ya no tuvieran que pagar nada por las materias primas, entonces, por supuesto, también tendrían que estar exentos de los costos del trabajo de los empleados, los salarios, las contribuciones sociales y los impuestos.

¿Seguirían siendo necesarios los salarios, las contribuciones sociales y los impuestos si todos los bienes fueran gratuitos? No, porque todas las personas recibirían de forma gratuita todo lo necesario para una vida digna. Por supuesto, también los empresarios.

Por supuesto, esto resulta muy confuso al principio, pero fíjese cómo funciona en las familias. La madre o el padre tampoco exigen salarios, por lo que usted no tiene que pagar nada por la comida. La economía podría funcionar de manera similar.

¿Qué tiene que ver todo esto con las crisis globales actuales?

Los regalos no necesitan publicidad. Cada persona podría entonces tomar libremente y sin influencias exactamente lo que necesita para una vida digna.

Ya no habría presión competitiva y los productos podrían diseñarse para ser duraderos y completamente reciclables.

Por eso habría que producir mucho menos, se consumirían muchos menos recursos y las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero se reducirían tanto que probablemente se alcanzarían rápidamente los objetivos climáticos a largo plazo.

Ya no habría desempleo, por lo que la economía podría automatizarse sin obstáculos, de modo que sobre todo los trabajos pesados, monótonos y peligrosos podrían ser realizados por máquinas en lugar de por trabajadores con salarios bajos, como es el caso ahora.

Nuestra responsabilidad ya no terminaría con la compra, sino que de repente nos sentiríamos personalmente responsables de la producción sostenible y de la protección de la Tierra.

Pero, pero, pero, pero…

Imagínese por un momento la alegría que sentiríamos si ya no necesitáramos dinero.

No saquearíamos las tiendas, porque sabríamos que en el futuro también tendríamos todo lo que necesitamos. De hecho, la vida cotidiana seguiría con total normalidad, tal como sigue hoy en día, aunque todos los días oigamos hablar del peligro de un colapso.

¿Por qué no seguiríamos trabajando, solo porque nos lo regalan todo y ya no nos obligan a hacerlo?

Como no habría necesidad de cambios técnicos, la economía podría seguir funcionando con total normalidad durante una fase de transición. Por lo tanto, ni siquiera notaríamos de inmediato que algo ha cambiado. Sin embargo, debido a las nuevas condiciones marco, la economía se volvería sostenible por sí sola.

Los empresarios ya no estarían a merced de la competencia, sino que podrían servir a las personas, tal como debería ser en realidad.

El poder sería reemplazado por el ejemplo y el compromiso en la sociedad civil.

El mercado, que solo puede decidir en función de lo que es rentable y no de lo que la gente necesita, dejaría así de ser necesario. Dado que tras el cambio ya no habría precios, podríamos pasar a un sistema de abastecimiento directo, en el que la gente encargara directamente al productor lo que necesita.

Las condiciones para ello ya se dan desde hace algunos años gracias a la interconexión global. Debido a la sobreproducción del mercado inducida por la competencia, el abastecimiento directo sería, de todos modos, mucho más eficiente.

¿Y ahora… ?

Por favor, ayudad a difundir esta idea. Si todo el mundo entendiera lo fácil que sería, la puesta en práctica sería muy rápida y sencilla.

Weltwirtschaft in der Krise

Fast täglich melden die Medien, dass die Weltwirtschaft in einer Krise steckt. Auch das Klima und unsere Gesellschaft entwickeln sich in besorgniserregender Weise.

Es gibt eine sehr überraschende und einfache Lösung.

Was würde denn passieren, wenn ab morgen und für immer alles auf der Welt gratis würde? Wirklich alles und für alle Menschen?

Stellt euch also vor, alle Produzenten und Händler würden alle Waren und Dienstleistungen mit einem Male zu Geschenken machen.

Warum könnte das möglich sein?

Es würde nicht funktionieren, wenn die Erde und die Sonne Rechnungen für ihre Bodenschätze, ihre Früchte, ihre Luft, ihre Energie und ihr Licht schreiben würden.

Aber nicht sie schreiben die Rechnungen, sondern die Eigentümer des Grundes, auf dem die Bodenschätze gewonnen und der Fabriken, in denen die Güter produziert werden.

Stellt euch aber vor, diese Rechnungen wären nicht mehr nötig, weil alles gratis ist.  Die Eigentümer müssten dann keine Rechnungen mehr schreiben, weil Geld seinen Zweck verloren hätte.

Bodenschätze, Früchte oder  Energie könnten dann von allen Menschen unentgeltlich genutzt werden.

Wenn die Produzenten für die Rohstoffe nichts mehr bezahlen müssen, dann müssten sie freilich noch von den Kosten für die Arbeit der Beschäftigten, den Löhnen, Sozialabgaben und Steuern befreit werden.

Wären denn überhaupt noch Löhne, Sozialabgaben und Steuern nötig, wenn alle Güter gratis sind?

Nein, denn alle Menschen wären gratis mit allem versorgt, was für ein Leben in Würde nötig ist. Natürlich auch die Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer.

Das ist natürlich erst einmal sehr verwirrend, aber schaut einmal, wie es in den Familien funktioniert. Mütter oder Väter verlangen doch auch keine Löhne, deshalb müsst ihr ja auch nichts für das Essen bezahlen. So ähnlich könnte dann auch die Wirtschaft funktionieren.

Was hat das alles nun mit den heutigen globalen Krisen zu tun?

Für Geschenke muss es keine Werbung geben. Jeder Mensch könnte sich dann frei und unbeeinflusst genau das nehmen, was für ein Leben in Würde gebraucht wird.

Es gäbe keinen Konkurrenzdruck mehr und die Produkte könnten langlebig und vollständig recycelbar konstruiert werden.

Deshalb müsste viel weniger produziert werden, es würden viel weniger Ressourcen verbraucht und die Treibhausgasemissionen würden so stark sinken, dass die langfristigen Klimaziele wahrscheinlich schnell erreicht wären.

Arbeitslosigkeit gäbe es nicht mehr, also könnte die Wirtschaft ungehindert automatisiert werden, sodass vor allem schwere, eintönige und gefährliche Arbeiten von Maschinen anstatt von unterbezahlten Arbeitskräften übernommen werden könnten.

Unsere Verantwortung würde dann nicht mehr mit dem Kauf enden, sondern wir fühlten uns dann auch persönlich für die nachhaltige Produktion und für den Schutz der Erde verantwortlich.

Aber, aber, aber, aber …….

Stellt euch diese Freude vor, wenn wir kein Geld mehr bräuchten.

Es gäbe keinen Grund für Plünderungen oder Existenzängste, denn wir wüssten, dass wir auch in Zukunft alles haben würden, was wir brauchen. Tatsächlich würde der Alltag ganz normal weitergehen, so wie er auch heute weitergeht, sogar wenn wir täglich von den Medien vor der Gefahr eines Kollapses gewarnt werden.

Warum sollten wir nicht weiterarbeiten, nur weil uns alles geschenkt wird und wir nicht mehr zur Arbeit gezwungen werden?

Weil es keine technischen Änderungen geben muss, könnte die Wirtschaft übergangsweise ganz normal weiterfunktionieren. Wir würden also gar nicht sofort wahrnehmen, dass sich etwas geändert hat. Die Wirtschaft müsste aber auf Grund der veränderten Randbediungungen nicht mehr künstlich wachsen und würde von selbst nachhaltig werden.

Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer wären nicht mehr dem Wettbewerb ausgeliefert sondern könnten den Menschen dienen, so wie es ja eigentlich sein sollte.

Macht würde durch Vorbildwirkung und zivilgesellschaftliches Engagement ersetzt werden.

Ein Markt, der seine Entscheidungen nur auf der Grundlage dessen treffen kann, was wirtschaftlich rentabel ist, anstatt dessen, was die Menschen tatsächlich brauchen, würde somit überflüssig werden. Da es nach Abschluss des Übergangs keine Preise mehr gäbe, könnten wir zu einem System der Direktversorgung übergehen, in dem die Menschen das, was sie brauchen, direkt beim Hersteller bestellen.

Die Voraussetzungen dafür sind dank der globalen Vernetzung bereits seit mehreren Jahren gegeben. Angesichts der wettbewerbsbedingten Überproduktion des Marktes wäre eine direkte Versorgung ohnehin weitaus effizienter.

Und nun ….. ?

Bitte helft mit, diese Idee bekannt zu machen. Sobald jeder versteht, wie einfach das wäre, wäre könnte die Umsetzung schnell und unkompliziert erfolgen.
